A handful of years ago, when I started acquiring Really Old Things like Roman glass and ancient coins and tektites, I put a bunch of stuff into a bag with the intention of eventually turning it all into a Very Big Necklace. 

...and then I promptly misplaced the bag. It would turn up every now and then, usually when I had something else to toss into it, and then I’d get distracted and it would vanish again. Until last week, when I decided it was time to finally see what it wanted to be. 

This is the result. It’s Very Big. It has strong opinions. It weighs 4 ounces, which may not sound like a lot, but compared to most of my necklaces, it kinda is. It’s about 2” tall in the front and only a little narrower at the sides and back. The smallest length it can be is about 15”, but it can go up to at least 24” or so - it is definitely a choker, not a sit-on-the-collarbones kind of necklace; that said, you’ll want to add about half an inch to your normal choker length to have it fit comfortably. 

(Or it could be a crown. It could definitely be a crown.)

Oh! Probably I should tell you what’s in it. Uh... a lot of stuff. There’s Roman glass, and a bronze coin that is Very Very Old, and tektites, and labradorite, and vintage glass and lucite, and fluorite and labradorite and aquamarine and smoky quartz and blue tiger’s eye and kyanite and lampwork glass and a black opal and a bunch of firepolished glass and honestly who knows what else might end up in it before I’m done? It does not, however, currently contain any pearls or coral or shell or bone, and if you’d prefer it to remain that way I will make sure to avoid using those things when adjusting the sizing  

I’ll need to get a handful of measurements from you to get the sizing right, and I’ll send you photos to approve before shipping it. If you have any neck or back issues and are concerned about the weight, please talk to me; I can counterweight it so it balances more comfortably.
